Francesco Amato
Dr. Amato is a recognized opinion leader in the international scientific community as well as an active practitioner, specialised in oral surgery, periodontology and implantology. Graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and Ph.D. in Biopharmaceutical Microbiology from University of Catania, he leads a team of dentists, each with advanced international training in their specialty expertise and numerous contributions to publications.
His private practice takes pride in ongoing clinical research, rigid implant surgical protocols and the use of immediate loading and immediate dentures protocols for 15 years. By employing the latest surgical techniques and the finest materials available, they enable patients to recover masticatory function and aesthetics in a very short time, allowing, even through bone regeneration, the possibility to place implants in sites where such solutions were impossible only a few years ago. Their technology shows its highest expression in Computer Guided Implantology. The planning of each case is studied digitally, through computer programs that simulate implants placement on a model drawn on the CT, the margin for human error is nearly completely eliminated, allowing a precision unattainable otherwise. The result is immediate new natural-like dentition – already in the same session.
Dr. Amato has extensive teaching and speaking experience. He has given lectures at NYU Annual Implant Symposium, Columbia University ICOI Implant Symposium, 5th Implantology and Oral Rehabilitation Congress, Oral Implantology World Congress, 10th Symposium CEIA, Columbia University and many others. He has been published a number of times in Int J Periodontics Restorative Dent, Am J Esthet Dent, Int J Oral Maxillofac Implants and Implant Journal.
